At our engagement party.
Ryan started the proposal off by sending Miranda chocolate covered strawberries to her office. The card said "Hope you're having a good day. 6 months ago today, you posted a comment on my picture. I couldn't be happier that you did. Can't wait to spend tonight and the weekend with you. Love, Ry". Miranda had no idea it was an anniversary of anything- so she remained clueless that in just a few hours, her dreams would be coming true. :)
Miranda got off work early that day, and went home to find a note on the counter with a clue-- Ryan had set up a scavenger hunt around the house! The conclusion of the scavenger hunt led to a wrapped gift and a note- saying she couldn't open the gift until Ryan got home... They ended up going horseback riding in the National Park (Ryan did NOT have fun with that! Poor boy!! But sucked it up for Miranda anyways). After the ride, Ryan suggested watching the sunset- Miranda knew the perfect spot-- The Ledges in Peninsula.
Ryan brought the present along and had her open it while watching the sunset across the Cuyahoga Valley. It was a SCRAPBOOK! Ryan had scrapbooked and written a poem throughout the book! Ryan wanted Miranda to read the scrapbook outloud-but after a few pages and getting choked up, Ryan read it to her. It ended with "this is just the start of our wonderful life...Miranda, will you be my wife?" The ring was tied to the last page of the book and Ryan was on one knee!! :) The rest is history....
